Referencing the introduction already made above, this is a notice to all aspirants who wish to apply for admission into any of the universities in Nigeria to study Political Science and International Relations under the faculty of Social and Management Sciences that the list of compulsory subjects as well as optional subjects required in O level result (WAEC and NECO) before applying for admission into Political Science and International Relations has been published in this post.

As mentioned above, some of these NECO and WAEC subject requirements are compulsory which means you need to have at least a minimum of Credit passes (C6) in them in your o level result before you can use it to apply for admission to study Political Science and International Relations.

Also, keep in mind that some schools may have special subject combination requirements for the subjects that are eligible to be used in JAMB before one can gain admission into Political Science and International Relations. The WAEC subjects required to study Political Science and International Relations are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes including English Language Government or History and at least a pass in Mathematics

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) GO requires five SSCE credits passes in not more than two sittings in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and Government.

(ii) UNIOSUN requires five ‘O’ level credit passes obtained at not more than one sitting in relevant subjects including English Language, Government and Mathematics and any other two subjects.

(iii) CRAWFORD Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English, Government and 3 other subjects with at least pass in Mathematics
