As mentioned above, some of these NECO and WAEC subject requirements are compulsory which means you need to have at least a minimum of Credit passes (C6) in them in your o level result before you can use it to apply for admission to study Economics.

O Level (WAEC and NECO) Subject Requirements For Economics
The WAEC subjects required to study Economics are as follows:
Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and at least two other relevant courses preferably in Commerce, Government and Accounting subjects
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) FULOKOJA and FUD accept any two Arts or Social Science subjects as the fourth and fifth subjects.
(ii) FUWUKARI accepts credit passes in Geography, Business Methods and Statistics.
